The incubation period for this disease is somewhere between 8 and 10 days, and this means that you’re dog may not show any symptoms at all for a week or so. As with any other type of disease or infection, the best prevention for your dog against kennel cough is to have a strong immune system to start with.

With a well built immune system, your pet is much less likely to catch this highly contagious disease.
